“Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two saith He (the LORD), shall be one flesh. But he which is joined unto the Lord (John 17:21) is One Spirit. Flee fornication . . . for every sin that a man (or woman) doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication* (pornia) sinneth against his own body.
Know ye not that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, which is in you _______ (your name). Which ye have of God, and ye are not your own ?” – I Corinthians 6:15-20

“In the cleansing of the temple . . . Jesus was announcing His mission as the Messiah (ref: Daniel 9:24-25), and entering upon His work.
That temple, erected for the abode of the Divine Presence, was designed to be an object lesson* for Israel and for the world . . . From eternal ages it was God’s purpose that every created being, from the bright and holy seraph to man, should be a temple (II Corinthians 6:14-16) for the indwelling of the Creator. But because of sin, humanity ceased to be a temple for God . . . Darkened and defiled by evil, the heart of man no longer revealed the glory of the Divine One.”
