“Therefore with Joy shall ye draw Water out of the Wells of Salvation . . . and in that day ye shall say, Praise the LORD (Halleluyah !), call upon His name, declare His doings (wondrous works) among the people . . . . For great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst (heart) of thee . . . !” Isaiah 12:1-6
“Before He left His disciples, Christ “breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” John 20:22. Again He said, “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you.” Luke 24:49. But not until after the ascension was the Gift received in its fullness.
Not until through faith and prayer the disciples had surrendered themselves fully for His working was the outpouring of the Spirit received. Then in a special sense the goods (riches) of heaven were committed to the followers of Christ. “When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.” Ephesians 4:8. “Unto every one of us is given Grace* (G5485), according to the measure of the gift of Christ (The Anointed One, the Anointing),” the Spirit “dividing to every man severally as He will.” ref: Ephesians 4:7; 1 Corinthians 12:11.
The gifts are already ours in Christ, but their actual possession depends upon our reception of the Spirit of God.”

“The lessons that have come to us through Christ are not oft- repeated maxims; they are full of vital thought. But it is our part to appropriate Divine Truth . . . Thy Word is Truth (Verity) ! . . . The apostle Paul exhorts us to lay hold on the hope set before us in the Glad Tidings (gospel). By faith we are to appropriate the Promises of God, and to provide ourselves with the abundant Blessings which have been secured for us through Christ Jesus. Hope has been set before us, even the hope of Eternal Life. Nothing short of this blessing for us will satisfy our Redeemer; but it is our part to lay hold upon this hope by faith in Him Who has promised . . . !” – Lift Him Up p.331
“And shall not GOD avenge His Own elect (chosen), which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? . . . . . I tell you, that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man cometh, Shall He find faith on the earth ?” Luke 18:1-8
At first glance it appears as though Christ is asking if their will be any who still have faith when He appears in the clouds of heaven, at His 2nd Advent ? But as we look closer at this statement, a question arises. At the time of His appearing in the clouds of glory, it will be too late for any who have not yet expressed that living (active) faith which He is speaking of !
And then another Scripture rang in my ears, “If you love Me, then keep My Commandments, and I will ask The Father, and He shall give you another (greater) Comforter . . . Even the Spirit of Truth ! . . . . I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you !” John 14:15-18
“I will come to you . . . For I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life !” John 14:6
And one of the most beautiful and powerful assurances He has given us is, “I Am the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), I change not !” Malachi 3:6
This Promise of His coming to us personally, is found throughout all of the Old Testament. And especially when the LORD speaks of that mighty work He will do for His children, in these final days before His Son’s return in the clouds of heaven !
“And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not My people; there shall they be called the children of the Living God (Elohim). For Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant shall be saved (delivered) . . . . For He will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness . . . Because a short work will the LORD make upon the earth !” Romans 9:26-28
“For they are not all Israel (princes, conquerors, those who prevail), which are of Israel. Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy Seed be called. That is, They which are of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the Promise are counted as the Seed. For this is the Word of Promise, At this time will I Come, and Sarah shall have a son . . . !” Romans 9:6-9
“Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up . . . . And then shall we know . . . which is Life Eternal . . . if we follow on to know the LORD. For His going forth (spring, fountain) is prepared (as faithful) as the morning ! And He shall come unto us as the Rain, as the Latter and Former Rain unto the earth !” Hosea 6:1-3 & John 17:3
Jesus was revealing something so important to us in the Gospel of John. Something which is the key to all Victory and Eternal Life. And that is faith in His Father’s spoken and written Word. Absolute faith, because He Is, and because He cannot ever lie.
And in receiving that Living, Spirit-filled Word today, and appropriating it as our very own, we are given the Spirit and power to do those things which are pleasing in His sight. Not because of any righteousness in us, or any works which we might have done; but because of the merits (worthiness) and Righteousness of Christ Jesus !
“For the Words that I speak unto you today, they are Spirit, and they are Life !” John 6:63
“Turn you at My reproof: behold, I will pour out My Spirit unto you, and I will make known My Words unto you . . .” Proverbs 1:22-23
“Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the Words of My mouth. For My doctrine (teachings) shall drop as the Rain, My speech shall distil as the dew, as the small Rain upon the tender herb, and as the Showers upon the grass !” Deuteronomy 32:1-2
“Ask ye of the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) Rain in the time of the Latter Rain, so the LORD shall make bright (flashing, lightning) clouds, and give them Showers of Rain, and to every one grass in the field !”
Zechariah 10:1
Note: So because of this Rain which the LORD has promised He will pour upon the earth, there will be an abundance of “grass” in the fields for all. This is well worth noticing, for look at what this word is in both the Old and New Testaments.

Law – instructions in righteousness (G3551) = food, to parcel out, grazing
“The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want. For He maketh me to lie down (to Rest, Sabbath) in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still Waters. He restoreth my soul . . . !” Psalm 23:1-3
“O taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man that trusteth in Him !” Psalm 34:7-8
“O that thou hadst hearkened to My Commandments, for then had thy peace (Shalom) been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea . . . . Go ye forth out of Babylon (ref: Revelation 18:1-5), flee ye from the Chaldeans, With a voice of Singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the world. Say ye, The LORD hath redeemed His servant Jacob . . . .
And they thirsted not when He led them through the deserts. He caused the Waters to flow out of the Rock . . . and that Rock was Christ ! . . . for them. He clave the Rock also, and the Waters gushed out !”

“And one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith came there out blood (Life) and Water (Spirit) !” John 19:34 & ref: Leviticus 17:10-11
“And the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life . . . !” John 6:63
“Then said Jesus (Yehushua) unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, ye have no Life in you ! . . . . and from that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him !” John 6:53, 66
“Blessed are the poor in Spirit: for their is the Kingdom of heaven . . . . Blessed are they which do hunger
and thirst after Righteousness, for they shall be filled !” Matthew 5:1-6
“When the poor and needy seek Water, and there is none, and their tongue faitheth for thirst, I the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) will hear them, I the God (Elohim – Mighty One) of Israel will not forsake them !
And I will open Rivers in high places, and Fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness (desert) a pool of Water, and the dry lands Springs of Water . . . . !” Isaiah 41:17-18 & ref: Isaiah 12:1-6
“For I will pour Water upon Him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground. I will pour My Spirit
upon thy seed, and My Blessing upon thine offspring . . . !” Isaiah 44:3
“That the Blessing of Abraham might come on (generate, bring to new Life) the Gentiles through Jesus Christ (Yehushua ha Moshiac); that we might receive the Promise of the Spirit through Faith !” Galatians 3:14
“And therefore, being by the right hand of GOD exalted (raised up), and having received of The Father the Promise of the Holy Spirit, He hath shed forth (poured out) this which ye now see and hear . . .
Then said Peter unto them (and us), Repent (turn around) . . . Choose ye this day Whom ye will serve . . . and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (Yehuwah’s Salvation and Anointing) for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit !
For the Promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are yet afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call !” Acts 2:33-39 & ref: Joshua 24:15 and Titus 3:4-6
“Therefore also now, saith the LORD, Turn ye even unto Me with all your hearts, and with fasting (denial of your selfish desires), and with weeping, and with mourning . . . . Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns ! . . . ref: Jeremiah 4:3 & Matthew 13:14-23
‘Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy . . . Break up your fallow ground, for it is Time to seek the LORD, till He Come and Rain righteousness upon you . . . !” Hosea 10:12
‘Hear the Word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of this land (our country), Because there is no Truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge (knowing) of God in the land. But by swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and commiting adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood . . . Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish . . . !’ Hosea 4:1-3

‘Marvel not that I say unto thee, Ye must be born (begotten) again !” John 3:3-7
. . . And rend (tare) your hearts, and not your garments, and Turn unto the LORD (Yehuwah) your God (Elohim): or He is gracious and full of mercy, He is slow to anger, and of great kindness, and it repenteth Him of the evil (He hates to see you suffer) ! . . . .
Let the priests, and the ministers (servants) of the LORD, weep between the porch and the alter, and let them say, Spare Thy people, O LORD ! . . . . . And give not Thine heritage (inheritance) to reproach, so that the heathen should rule over them.
Wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God (Elohim – Mighty One) ? ref: I Samuel 17:26-47
Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and Rejoice (Praise His holy name !) in the LORD your God, For He hath given you the Former Rain moderately, and He shall cause to come down for you the Rain, the former Rain, and the Latter Rain in the first month ! ref: Exodus 12:1-14
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy (speak under the inspiration of Christ’s Spirit) . . . . for it is Christ (the Anointing) in you, the hope of glory ! . . . and your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions . . . . !” Joel 2:12-32 & Colossians 1:27
“Cry aloud, spare not. Lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew My people their transgressions (rebellion, apostasy), and the house of Jacob their sins (side slip, habitual failures and sinfulness) . . . . Sow in righteousness, reap in mercy ! . . .
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness (the cords which bind us in iniquity), to undo the heavy burdens, and let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke ?
‘Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden; and I will give you Rest (Sabbath) !” Matthew 11:28-30
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his (the enemy’s) yoke from off thy neck . . . . And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the Anointing . . . !’ Matthew 11:28-30 & Isaiah 10:27
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved (delivered, set free, rescued, healed) us, by the Washing (baptism) of Regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit . . . which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour !” Titus 3:4-6

Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
Is it not to deal thy bread (and the Bread of Life) to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house ? . . . and when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him (and also with the garments of Christ’s righteousness); and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh (time with your families) ?
For then shall thy Light break forth as the morning . . . . unto you that fear My name (Jehovah, Yehuwah, I AM THAT I AM), shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings (borders of His garments) ! . . . . and thine health shall spring forth speedily. And thy Righteousness shall go before thee; and the Glory of the LORD shall be thy Rereward . . . !
‘And this is His name whereby He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS !” Jeremiah 23:5-6 & Malachi 4:2
And then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and He shall say, Here I Am. If thou take away from the midst (heart) of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger (pride and criticism), and speaking vanity.
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul . . . Then shall thy Light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness shall be as the noonday !
And the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) shall guide thee continually! . . . saying, This is the Way, Walk ye in it ! . . . And He shall satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a Watered Garden, and like a spring of Water, whose waters fail not ! ref: Isaiah 30:21-23
And they that be of thee shall build the old waste places. and thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations. And thou shalt be called, The repairer of the Breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in . . . . !”
Isaiah 58:1-14
“Order my steps in Thy Word, and let not any iniquity have dominion over me . . .” “For Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a Light unto my path !” Psalm 119:133 & 105
“And Blessed are the undefiled in the way (path of Life), who walk in the Law (instructions) of the LORD !” Psalm 119:1
“Yea, He restoreth my soul, He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake !” Psalm 23:3
“That they might be called Trees of righteousness, the planting (garden) of the LORD, that He might be glorified. And they shall build the old waste places, and they shall raise up the former desolations . . . . and I will direct their work in Truth (Verity), and I will make an Everlasting Covenant with them. And their seed (children) shall be known among the gentiles (unbelievers), and their offspring among the people.
And all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the Seed which the LORD hath Blessed . . . for unto Abraham and his seed, were the Promises made. And He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of One, And to thy Seed, which is Christ (The Anointed) ! . . .
And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s Seed, and heirs according to the Promise !” Isaiah 61:3-11 62:1 & Galatians 3:16,29
May these precious Promises prove a Blessing to you as you read them aloud today ! And may the Spirit of Christ which inspired them, fill to their fullest His power in your life !
