The Life of Faith !
“For the righteousness which is of (by) Faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down to die again): Or Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up resurrect Christ again from the dead) . . .
But what saith it?
The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: and that is the Word of Faith which we preach !” Romans 10:6-8
“. . . . And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive !”
Matthew 21:21-22
“That if thou shalt confess (speak aloud, unashamed) with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (that Jesus is Adoni – Sovereign King), and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (delivered, rescued, set free, healed and restored whole) !
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession (profession) is
made unto Salvation !” Romans 10:8-10
So we see that Righteousness, as well as Salvation (deliverance, victory, freedom, healing, restoration) has something to do with believing in our hearts; belief and trust which is so great that we are unashamed to confess and speak our faith out loud ! But how can we know the difference between true faith, and presumption ?
“So then Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of GOD !”
Romans 10:17
Our Almighty Father and His Beloved Son make it so plain, there is no reason to stumble or doubt.
If GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) has spoken it, then we can have absolute confidence that it is verily so !
“So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: It shall not return unto Me void, but It shall accomplish It that which I please, and It shall prosper in that whereto I sent It !” Isaiah 55:10-11
“For GOD is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent (change His mind): hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make good ?”
Numbers 23:19
“For by the Word of the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the Breath (Ruach – Spirit) of His mouth . . . . for He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stands fast !” Psalm 33:6-9
If the Almighty Creator GOD which we worship, serve, love and obey created and holds up all the millions of stars, suns and planets of the universe (uni-verse – single spoken sentence); can He not also hold up you and I, and keep us from falling, according to His Promise ?
Yet many times we hear a different voice, the voice of the Accuser (ha satan), the voice of the great deceiver. As he speaks words of doubt, unbelief, and failure; reminding us of our weakness and sinful human flesh.
So how does a child of GOD (Yehuwah) stand against the flood of accusations which are thrown at them mercilessly ? What saith the Word . . . . ?
“Thus ye speak saying, If our sins be upon us, and we pine away (are consumed) in them, How shall we then live? Say unto them, As I Live, saith the Lord GOD (Adoni Yeh-oo-vee’) !” Ezekiel 33:10-11
“For man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD !” Matthew 4:4
“It is the Spirit that quickeneth (renews Life); the flesh profiteth nothing: The Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life !” John 6:63
The same Living Word which spoke the worlds into existence, is Verily the same Word which speaks Life into the soul, dead in trespasses and sins ! So how is this Life obtained?
Verily by Faith !
“Wherefore as the Holy Spirit saith, Today (even Now!) if ye will hear His Voice, harden not your hearts . . . in unbelief !” Hebrews 3:7-15
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not yet seen . . . . Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), so that things which are seen were not made by things which do appear . . . .” Hebrews 11:1-3
“That which is born (regenerated, begotten, brought forth) of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born* of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I say unto thee, Ye must be born again ! The wind bloweth where it listeth (wills), and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth. So is every one that is born of the Spirit !” John 3:6-8
When we hear GOD’s Word speak to us, saying, “Arise, ye that sit in the dust . . . Put in thy Strength, O Zion, put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, Shake thyself from the dust, Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck . . . For whom the Son sets free, is free indeed !” Isaiah 51:9, 52:1-3, John 8:36
Do we stand up and believe ? Do we walk in faith, as those mighty men and women of valour in ancient days of Israel ? ref: Hebrews 11:8-40
Read aloud the story of II Chronicles 20:1-22
“And it came to pass after this . . . that the children of Moab and the children of Ammon . . . came against Jehoshaphat to battle . . . And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out o fall the cities of Judah they came to seek
the LORD . . .
When was the last time our churches and our congregations did something like this? If ever there was a time when the people of GOD needed to hear His Voice, and to see His power
Is it not Now ?
“And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD . . . And said, O LORD God (Yehuwah Elohim) of our fathers, Art not Thou GOD in heaven? And rulest not Thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in Thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to stand before Thee ?
O our God, wilt Thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do, But our eyes are upon Thee !
. . . Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah . . . came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation; And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD (Yehuwah), Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s !
. . . Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the Salvation (H3444 – Yesh-oo-aw’) of the LORD with you . . . Fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD . . . And Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God (Yehuwah your Elohim), so shall ye be established . . . Believe His prophets, and so shall ye prosper !
. . . . And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should Praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out (walked forward by faith) before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD (Halleluyah); for His mercy endureth forever ! And when they began to sing and to Praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten !”
Is the LORD not waiting for His children to once again trust in Him with all their hearts, and to take up the trumpets and step forward by faith, as we march around Jericho. We are not helpless and passive in this world. We are to go forth and proclaim from the top of our lungs, the Glad Tidings . . .
He reigns !
The captives of satan are waiting by the millions for the voice of faith and prayer to set them free !
Rise up O child of GOD, and set the trumpet to your lips, Cry aloud and spare not . . . Let the walls of the kingdom of satan tremble as they hear the footsteps of our approaching GOD. For His army goes before Him, as in the days of old, with singing and the triumphant Praise of the LORD our GOD !
“All power is given unto Me (Jesus, Yehushua) in heaven and in earth . . .Go ye into all the world
and proclaim the Glad Tidings to every creature . . . And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new languages; they shall take up (loose the hold of) serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them !
They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover . . . anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith shall save (deliver, heal, restore) the sick . . . !” Matthew 28:18, Mark 16:15-18 & James 5:14-15
May Yehushua (Jesus) bless and give you His strength and grace this week, and may He open the doors before you to share His glorious Salvation with hundreds of souls !
