“Now the righteousness of GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets . . . !”
Romans 3:21
“Now the righteousness of GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah)
without (aside from) the law is manifested (demonstrated), being witnessed (testified of) by the law and the prophets !”
The law is a written transcript of the character of Almighty GOD,
Who is holy, just and good. And so, as it is written – “Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, just and good !”
Romans 7:12
The Scriptures also tell us that “GOD is love !” I John 4:7-8
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of GOD (Yehuwah); and every one that loveth
is born (begotten) of GOD, and knoweth GOD . . . For this is Life eternal, that they might know Thee,
the Only True GOD, and Jesus Christ (Yehushua ha Moshiac) Whom Thou hast sent . . . He that loveth not, knoweth not GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) . . . For GOD is love !” ref: John 17:3
Therefore if GOD is love, and the law is verily a transcript of His righteous character,
then must not the law also be love ?
“Then one of them, which was a lawyer (pharisee, legal interpreter of the torah), asked Him a question,
tempting (testing) Him, and saying . . . Master, which is the great (greatest) commandment in the law (torah)?
Jesus (Yehushua) said unto him, Thou shalt love the LORD (Yehuwah) thy God (Elohim) with all
thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind ! This is the first and great command-ment. And the second is like unto it – Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Matthew 22:35-39.
“And the scribe said unto Him, Well, Master, Thou hast said the Truth (verily so) !
For there is One GOD; and there is none other but He: And to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
And when Jesus (Yehushua) saw that he answered discreetly (prudently, with understanding), He said unto him, Thou art not far from the kindom of GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) !” Mark 12:32-34.
“And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted (questioned, enticed) Him, saying,
Master, what shall I (must I) do to inherit eternal Life ? . . . For the commandment, which was ordained to Life, I found to be unto death . . . And He (Yehushua) said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou (what does it really mean)?
Note: Inheritance comes only through birth, not through works ! This is why Jesus has assured
each of us . . . Ye must be born (begotten) again ! ref: John 3:1-7
And he (the lawyer) answering said, Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with
all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
ref: Romans 7:10
And He (Jesus) said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt Live !”
Luke 10:25-28
“For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill (murder), Thou shalt not steal, Thou
shalt not bear false witness (testimony), Thou shalt not covet: if there be any other commandment,
it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely . . . Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself !
Note: Every Word of Yehuwah (Jehovah GOD) is a Promise !
Believed and acted upon in faith and trust, the LORD then works in us both to will and to do of His
good pleasure . . . ‘I delight to do Thy Will, O my GOD, Yea, Thy law is within my heart !’ Psalm 40:8
For love worketh no ill (harm, evil, injury) to his neighbour: Therefore love is the fulfilling (filling full, completing) of the law !” Romans 13:9-10.
So what is our LORD’s definition of Love ?
“Charity suffereth long (is patient and long-suffering), and is kind; charity envieth not;
charity vaunteth not itself (does not boast of itself), is not puffed up (proud). Doth not behave itself
unseemly (unbecomingly), seeketh not her own (prefers others over self), is not easily provoked, and
thinketh no evil (evil surmisings) . . . Rejoiceth not in iniquity (does not find pleasure in other’s moral failures), but rejoiceth in the Truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, and endureth all things . . . !” I Corinthians 13:4-7
“Let love be without dissimulation (hypocrisy) . . . be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.” Romans 12:9-10
And “let nothing be done in strife, and vain glory (vain pride); but in lowliness of mind, let each esteem others better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others !” Philippians 2:3-4
Love = G25 – agapao – to breath out after, affection, much in a moral sense
Charity = G26 from 25 – affection, benevolence, a feast of love – Self-sacrificing love
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do . . .” Luke 23:34
“For He is despised, and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid
as it were our faces (in shame) from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not (took not His defense) . . .” Isaiah 53:3
“Who did no (not ever) sin, neither was guile (deceit) found in His mouth: Who, when He was reviled (reproached), He reviled not again (in return); when He suffered, He threatened not retaliation . . .” I Peter 2:22-23
“For all the law (torah – instructions in righteousness) is fulfilled (filled full) in One Word . . . and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory (character) as of the Only-Begotten of the Father . . . even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself !” Galatians 5:14

“For whosoever keepeth His Word . . . abide in Me, and if My Words (which are Spirit and Life) abide in you . . . in him verily is the love of GOD perfected; and hereby know we that we are
in Him !” I John 2:5, ref: John 15:7 and 6:63.
“Now the righteousness (character) of GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah Elohim) without (aside from) the law is manifested (demonstrated), being witnessed (testified to) by the law (torah) and the prophets . . .” Romans 3:21
“Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal Life: and they are they which
testify of Me !” John 5:39
“Then He said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Ought not Christ (The Anointed Moshiac – Chosen Heir) to have suffered these things, that He may enter into His glory ?
And beginning at Moses (torah) and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the Scriptures
the things concerning Himself !” Luke 24:25-27
Calvary is where the love and character of Almighty GOD and His Beloved Son has been demonstrated before the entire universe! “Which none of the princes of this world . . . principalities, powers, and the rulers of the darkness of this world . . . knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord (Adoni – Sovereign King) of Glory !” I Corinthians 2:8,
ref: Ephesians 6:12 & Colossians 2:8
“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me . . . !” John 12:32
“. . . Being witnessed by the law and the prophets . . . Even the righteousness of GOD (Jehovah,
Yehuwah) which is by faith of Jesus Christ (Yehushua ha Moshiac) unto all, and upon all them
that believe !” Romans 3:22-23.
“Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you . . . For we know that we have passed from
death unto Life, because we love (prefer over ourselves) the brethren . . . Hereby perceive we the love of God (Elohim), because He laid down His Life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren !” I John 3:13-16
“Herein is love, not that we loved GOD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), but that He first loved us . . . while
we were yet sinners (dead in our transgressions, rebellions and sins) . . . and sent His Son to be the propitiation* (atonement – and to suffer the penalty of our selfish indulgence) for our sins (habitual failures) ! ref: Romans 5:8 & Ephesians 2:1
Beloved, if GOD so loved us, we ought also to love one another . . . And we have known and believed
the love that GOD hath to us. GOD is love; and he that dwelleth in love, dwelleth in GOD, and GOD in him. Herein is our love made perfect . . . that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love . . . we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, (I AM THAT I AM) so are we in this world ! I John 4:10-17, ref: Exodus 3:13-14
For whosoever believeth that Jesus (Yehushua) is the Christ (ha Moshiac) is born (begotten) of
GOD (Yehuwah): And every one that loveth Him that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of Him. And by this we know that we love the children of GOD, when we love GOD . . . not my will, but Thine be done . . . and keep His commandments !” I John 5:1-3.
